Inter-University Climate Change Negotiation - College Park, MD

The 2016 Inter-University Climate Change Negotiation simulation is 8 days away and the Planning Committee needs your participation at the event!

The ICCN will be held at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD, on October 14 & 15, 2016.

During the ICCN, students will simulate the climate change negotiations that will take place in Marrakesh, Morocco at the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP 22) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The ICCN is officially recognized as a COP 22 Labeled Event.

ICCN participants will also have the unique opportunity to see United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon speak at UMD on Friday, October 14th, at 4:00 PM!  The first 50 participants to register for the COP 22 ICCN will receive a code to register for a reserved seat at the event, and there are still a few seats available!  Additional participants will have the chance to register for general admission tickets; however, GA tickets do not necessarily guarantee a seat, as the event will be oversold and GA seats will be given on a first come, first served basis.

Register now!  Participation is limited to 100 students, and registration closes on Tuesday, 10/11.  You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to learn about the process of international statecraft and climate change negotiations while honing your speaking and negotiation skills.
