Fall Energy Conference - Temple University, PA

The Energy Coordinating Agency of Philadelphia (ECA) is pleased to announce our upcoming Fall Energy Conference to be held on November 17, 2016 at Temple University.

Every year, the Energy Coordinating Agency hosts an energy conference that brings together the most current information on low income energy policy and practice in the face of climate change. Reflecting our approach to this work, our conferences are inclusive and diverse with representation from community groups, utility officials, government officials and academics. We take great pride in being a convener and coordinator—and this year, we intend to expand our conference to offer attendees more opportunities to learn and become engaged in fields at the intersection of building science, community resilience, and climate change.

This year, our annual Sustainable Energy Conference centers on the following theme: Connect the Dots Now for a Self Sufficient Energy Future. The agenda is available for download from ECA's website, and we can confirm Mayor Kenney's joining us to make remarks before Christine Knapp's address on the Greenworks Plan. From exploring questions of how to finance carbon mitigation to addressing issues of neighborhood-level climate resilience, this conference is meant to engage all interested actors with a diverse set of speakers across two tracks with four panels each. We look forward to the conversations, and actions, that come out of this. Join us this November, and help ECA Connect the Dots!

We are also thrilled to announce our Keynote Speaker, Donnel Baird, Founder and CEO of BlocPower of NYC, which connects capital to investment grade green building projects in financially underserved communities.
