Travel to Cuba to fulfill Gen Ed and EGEE 299 Requirements!

Want to go to Havana Cuba during Spring Break 2016? 
 
We will have a limit of 14 students in our first trip to Cuba... AND there are a FEW spaces left...
The Deadline for enrollment has been EXTENDED To Friday, Dec. 4, 2015

 We will be offering two courses for this embedded service learning trip

          (take the courses during the semester along with your other courses;  Online assignments Jan-March, Cuba trip during Spring Break, Online assignments post Cuba Trip) 

 

Both courses are General Education courses valid for ANY major :

FIRM deadline for flight reservations and time needed to process Visa’s for Cuba. 

 

A $100.00 deposit is due by Friday Dec.4th to the Bursar.   The total cost for the trip is $2,400 and includes almost everything: 

  • US Airfare, Phil. To Miami, FL

  • Baggage Fee

  • Airfare, Charter Miami -Havana

  • Lodging (includes breakfast)

  • Lunch & dinner each day

  • Local transportation in Cuba

  • Local arrangements

  •    (tour guides, translators, museum entrance fees, educational support)

  • Immigration visas

  • Cuban medical insurance

 

NOTE:  There are some grant opportunities to offset the costs for students to participate in this international academic experience.
