The Borough will host an AmeriCorps position for the 2015-2016 service year through the Pennsylvania Mountain Service Corps. Anyone age 17 and older is invited to apply for this full-time 12-month commitment (approximately 35-40 hrs/wk).
The AmeriCorps member will assist with the Borough's environmental and sustainability projects under the supervision of the Borough Arborist and Environmental Coordinator. The position provides a small living stipend and the possibility to defer student loans and earn an education award upon completion of the 2015-2016 service year (September 14, 2015 to August 12, 2016).
