Citizen's Climate Lobby NE Regional Conference - Lehigh University, PA

This spring, the Lehigh Valley will host a multi-state, multi-day conference on solutions to the climate crisis. The Lehigh Valley chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby is pleased to host this conference, which will bring together 200 members of Citizen's Climate Lobby and other concerned citizens from across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

The event will be held at Lehigh University from March 13-15. The conference kicks off the evening of Friday, March 13, with a public performance by Peterson Toscano that looks at climate justice, religion, and gender issues the evening of Friday, March 13.

That's followed by two days of conference sessions on Saturday and Sunday March 14-15. Join us Saturday morning for an open space discussion forum, in which participants decide upon and then lead the climate-related discussions they think are most important. There will be several sessions on effective engagement with elected officials, and then our keynote speaker, Rear Adm. (ret) Dr. David Titley of PennState, will discuss The National Security Implications of Climate Change. Other speakers include Muhlenberg's Dr. Chris Borick, who will be speaking on Saturday afternoon, on Climate Change & Carbon Taxes: U.S. Public Opinion, and Citizens' Climate Lobby staff member Joe Robertson, recently back from Lima and planning CCL's global strategy in the lead up to Paris in December 2015. Plus lots of time for connecting and interacting with climate friends from across the region.

We'd love to have students join us for this important event. We have a student rate for the conference, and can also offer free admission (including meals) to a limited students who help in various volunteer capacities.
