SALES REPRESENTATIVE, WIND GENERATOR SERVICES
Join our team of leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, testing & training. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Sales Representative to work throughout West Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and New Mexico, to plan and perform outside sales and marketing efforts to Wind Generation Owners & Maintenance Organizations for electric generator maintenance, testing & repair services. Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Perform direct sales and business development activities (both immediate & long-term) which contribute to the growth and development of Shermco Industries via Wind Farm Operations & Maintenance Staff, in both Engineering Services, New Equipment Sales, and MRO Parts Sales
- Approximately 40% Travel required
- Participate in and support Wind Trade Shows, Conferences, and other Market Development activities
- Utilize Shermco's CRM and internal software tools to administratively manage "Inquiry to Order" (ITO) process, maintain ongoing project orders, and forecast short-term and long-term sales opportunities
- Develop close working relationships with key personnel at assigned accounts; identify and develop thorough understanding of end user's needs and requirement
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications to qualify for consideration, you must meet each of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge of existing customer base in West Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado.
- 3 years sales experience in motor or generator repair or related service industry.
- Computer competency with basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with CRM and/ database entry a plus.
- Excellent personal and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to effectively present technical sales solutions professionally
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
- Must be able to travel overnight 40% of the time to visit customers, prospective customers, and attend trade shows.
- Must be able to drive for extended periods, work at a desk/cubicle on a PC, and visit and tour varying customer sites with or without reasonable accommodations.
