Job Title: Intern
Reports To: Program Leader
Temporary Non Exempt Position
Job Summary:
Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in executing programs that overcome Educational, Financial or Regulatory barriers to a sustainable energy future.
Essential Job Functions:
The role of Intern is to:
- Attend and participate in SEF staff meetings.
- Provide research support.
- Support Staff at public activities.
- Work collaboratively with staff.
- Represent SEF in a positive energetic manner.
In addition to the essential functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity, and respect with all clients and co-workers; maintain a professional appearance and demeanor; demonstrate a positive attitude; communicate effectively with co-workers and clients; work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail; respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible; and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible. The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Working towards college degree.
- Interest in sustainable energy, energy efficiency, energy education and finance.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Creative, strategic, and analytical thinker, with strong detail orientation
- Ability to research, compile, and present data as tasks arise
- Ability to work on and produce required results on multiple projects with little or no close supervision.
- Valid Driver’s License
Machines/Tools/Equipment:
Computer, basic office equipment (copier, calculator, fax, etc.)
Working Conditions:
80% Office Environment
