About the Event

The Northeast Woody/Warm Season Bioenergy Consortium (NEWBio) is nearly one year into its mission to grow the sustainable bioenergy industry in the Northeast US.  With a focusing on emerging feedstocks of Switchgrass, Willow, and Miscanthus, the regional team of researchers, industry partners, educators, and extension professionals is working to put the pieces in place that will allow for sustainable, economical bioenergy to flourish in the region.

Join us to learn the latest developments in research and business development, and help shape the future path of the NEWBio effort by taking part in breakout discussion groups that will be used to develop “roadmap” documents for efforts in the region.  A student research poster session and reception at the close of the day will allow for networking with researchers and other attendees.

Who Should Attend?

The short course is open to all. Project developers, engineers, biomass producers, farm professionals, energy specialists and policy developers  are especially encouraged to attend.

*** CE / PDH Credits available for participants ***
