UG Research at the Capitol - Pennsylvania Poster Contest

Undergraduate Research at the Capitol - PA 2013 Poster Conference

On Tuesday, March 19, 2013, the 11th Annual Undergraduate Research at the Capitol—Pennsylvania Poster Conference will take place in the State Capitol Building, Harrisburg.

The URC-PA poster conference is an educational event allowing the
undergraduate students enrolled in Pennsylvania’s colleges and universities to showcase their research talents to the Commonwealth’s key decision-makers. All fields of research are encouraged. Participants spend the day in the Pennsylvania Capitol Building, share experiences and ideas with  counterparts from other schools, and present research on topics of importance to them and society to state legislators. When possible, a visit to either the Senate or House Chamber is part of the day’s events.

The Office of Undergraduate Education will coordinate Penn State's participation in the event.

Posters will be selected for participation by the Office of Undergraduate Education, seeking representation across Penn State colleges and campuses. Undergraduate Education will submit all registration information and abstracts for Penn State's presenters and work with the Office of Governmental Affairs to schedule student appointments with their state legislators. Faculty advisers are invited to attend the event with their students.

Details about Undergraduate Research at the Capitol are available at

Our students who have participated in Undergraduate Research at the Capitol in the past have been thrilled
and honored to spend a day in Harrisburg talking about their work. We are pleased to extend this opportunity again this year and look forward to a strong Penn State presence at the event in March.
