Penn State is offering a wind energy engineering course to those with an engineering or scientific background that are new to the industry or hoping to move into a wind energy technical position. The three day course, running from August 6-9, will provide participants with an understanding of wind energy systems and technology issues both onshore and offshore. The course will consist of on-campus (University Park) classroom lectures guided by Penn State professors from the College of Engineering and the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. Additionally, the lectures will be supplemented with a tour of a wind energy facility. The course will run from 9 AM on the 6th to noon on the 9th.
