Together Alone - live stream Penn State Faculty Concert Series

10/15/2020 - 7:24pm to 11/02/2020 - 7:30pm

About the Series

The idea for the Together, Alone Faculty Concert Series arose from a discussion regarding the Covid-19 Pandemic and its impact on musicians everywhere. All over the world, musical ensembles have been forced to cease public performances in this time of pandemic. The resulting silence, compounded with months of isolation, created the desire for us to find a way to reach audiences in a safe and meaningful manner.

The performers on this live-streamed series are Penn State School of Music Professors Naomi Seidman (flute), Andreas Oeste (oboe), Christopher Guzman (piano), Melody Quah (piano), Anthony J. Costa (clarinet), Daryl Durran (bassoon), Jim Lyon (violin) and Josh Davis (double bass).

The concerts in this series are solo performances and are no longer than 30 minutes in length. All performers will be wearing masks to comply with the Penn State Covid-19 Compact. The concerts will be live-streamed from the Recital Hall without an audience.
