MAREC Action

Description

MAREC Action is seeking an experienced individual with a policy/technical background in renewable energy, preferably utility scale solar/wind. At least three years of direct industry engagement is required. The new employee would tentatively begin mid to late summer. The Executive Director would supervise this employee. The new staffer could work anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic. However, preference would be for him/her to be located in the eastern portion of the region (Richmond, D.C., Harrisburg east). Starting salary would be commensurate with experience. Some travel would be required.

Position Details:

The employee would work on utility-scale wind (including offshore wind) and solar issues. In addition, the person would help develop storage policy. Work duties would entail helping develop offshore wind policy for MAREC Action. Duties would also include research, participation in regulatory and legislative matters, preparing memos, drafting comments, testifying and attending meetings related to solar, wind and storage. This position would require providing outreach to MAREC Action members and other stakeholders, including briefings, meetings, emails, and phone calls. The person would be responsible analyzing issues and providing data to help promote MAREC Action's policy goals. There would be administrative work involved, as well as the responsibility of taking minutes of board meetings and various other meetings and calls. Some travel would be required to meet with officials, attend and participate in regulatory proceedings and conferences.
