Summer Internship Program (stipend)

Wind is now America’s #1 renewable energy source! How would you like to use your skills to help promote the expansion of wind energy? The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is the national trade association that represents the wind industry and promotes wind power through advocacy, communication, and education. Wind energy in the United States has grown at a healthy pace in recent years. In fact, the U.S. has enough capacity to power 32 million American homes by current installed wind capacity, helping the United States serve as a major market for wind energy globally. If you would like to partner with a dynamic team of individuals committed to helping power a cleaner, stronger America, please consider the following areas of interest for your internship opportunity:

Media Relations ● Statistics  ●Government and State Affairs ● Wind Energy

Federal Regulatory Affairs ● Human Resources ● Finance ● Conference Management

Membership ● Business Development ● IT ● Safety Policy & Training

Interns will receive a $2,500 stipend, a laptop, mentorship and direct access to learning industry data from the experts. AWEA is a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a staff that is highly motivated. This internship may experience high work demands under tight timelines. Managing priorities and timelines across all departments is critical.  If this sounds like a great learning, save the world, brain stimulating, fun, advocacy opportunity – OR you need the internship for academic credit, you should apply!

Please note, this internship will be a remote , paid, summer internship.
