Location: Boise, ID
Intern will work with Sierra Club volunteers to organize community dialogues with different neighborhoods and areas of Ada County, focused on transportation issues. Community dialogues should lead to an increased number of engaged volunteers willing to be ready to engage with local citizens and in creating multimedia artifacts for communication dissemination.
Job Activities:
- Work with existing Sierra Club members and affiliates to form transportation priorities
- Work with Conservation Program Manager to determine creative storytelling projects to communicate the livability and environmental needs to revamp SW Idaho’s transportation system
- Create recommendations and metrics for success for regional Clean Transportation campaign work focused on building relationships neighborhood by neighborhood that can help inform policy, communication and outreach strategies
- Intern will spend second half of internship implementing communications and engagement strategies and recommendations with grassroot-level regional teams focused on transportation and climate issues
