TransAlta is looking for an Originator – Corporate Renewables to join our growing US Renewables Development team to advance TransAlta’s customer relationships and the development of renewable projects in the United States. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the corporate sustainability drive and is a proven contributor with success in building long-term customer relationships and creating value through leveraging the organization’s core competencies. As the Originator – Corporate Renewables, you’ll take responsibility for identifying, connecting and managing business relationships with customers desiring US renewable projects; developing, communicating, negotiating, and executing power purchase agreements that meet customer needs and achieve TransAlta financial metrics; and designing and implementing a communication plan that drives customer engagement. You’ll work collaboratively with TransAlta business development, engineering and trading teams to advance TransAlta’s growth strategy for US renewable development. The position will be based in TransAlta’s US Renewables office in Chicago.
