Position Summary:
Western Resource Advocates (WRA) seeks a strategic and analytical professional to join our Clean Energy team as our Flexible Grid Policy Analyst or Flexible Grid Senior Policy Analyst. This position provides an exciting opportunity to shape state-level energy policy and build our clean energy future. Depending on the skills and experience of the candidate we hire, this position will either be a Flexible Grid Policy Analyst or Senior Policy Analyst. Reporting to the Deputy Director of the Clean Energy Program for Colorado and Nevada, the Policy Analyst or Senior Policy Analyst will provide technical and policy expertise necessary to guide WRA’s participation in various rulemaking and litigated proceedings at the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, while also assisting in WRA’s legislative advocacy and relationship building efforts. In partnership with other members of the Clean Energy Program in Colorado, the Policy Analyst or Senior Policy Analyst will collaborate with diverse partners, identifying emerging issues in distributed energy resource deployment in order to create and leverage opportunities to advance environmentally beneficial solutions through negotiation and strategic litigation.
