Study Away Opportunities


These options offer a way to fulfill the study away/internship requirement with a low financial investment and minimal time away from home!

EMSC 297 Applied Sustainability in Contemporary Culture - 3 cr, Summer 2020

  • Online course is taught by ESP faculty, Dan Kasper and Haley Sankey.
  • Travel is for one week, to Colorado. Dates: June 20-28, 2020. 
  • Cost = tuition + airfare + <$2000 (final costs yet to be determined)

PSYCH 144Z: Climate Change: Individual Behaviors and Group Attitudes - 3cr

CAUSE - 6 cr over Spring/Summer/Fall semesters

  • Online with travel during the summer to Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands (May 30 – June 14). 
  • Cost = tuition + $500 (if chosen)

You can now apply for grant funding for any of these opportunities!

You can even ask for the funds for missing wages (if you have to take unpaid leave for the travel portion).
