USBCDC is currently seeking a candidate to join our growing team of renewable energy finance professionals as a Project Manager Associate (PMA). The PMA's responsibilities include assisting with underwriting, structuring, negotiating and closing complex renewable energy investments (predominantly solar and wind investments) utilizing Renewable Energy Tax Credits. The PMA will assist in preparing high-quality underwriting packages in support of the proposed investments, describing strengths, weaknesses, risks and mitigating factors. The PMA will support multiple project managers in closing transactions in accordance with credit requirements while furthering USBCDC's customer relationships. The PMA will engage third party professionals and serve as the project managers' internal liaison, interfacing with various departments on a daily basis. The PMA will be expected to review, summarize, and analyze legal documents, pro forma investment projections, and financial statements. The PMA will report to the Assistant Director of Project Management.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience
  • Three or more years of experience in financial services, renewable energy sector, or comparable work experience
  • Two or more years of CDC experience, or comparable work experience

 

Preferred Skills/Experience: 

  • Must be an advocate for promoting sustainable resources
  • Knowledge of applicable tax credit program
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team of people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets
  • Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to interpret data for the purpose of identifying and communicating issues
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent writing, communication, and mathematical skills
  • Advanced degree in business, finance, or law preferred
