Bucknell University's seventh annual Sustainability Symposium will be held on campus beginning Friday, April 26, and wrapping up late Saturday morning, April 27. Pioneering climate scientist James Hansen will keynote.
Beginning in March 2013, Bucknell's annual Sustainability Symposium has explored diverse aspects of sustainability from multiple disciplinary perspectives using a range of approaches:
- Faculty-led panels that bring together multiple classes with public audiences to explore sustainability themes and issues.
- Public keynote talks by leading sustainability scholars and practitioners.
- Poster sessions featuring student research on sustainability topics.
- Creative displays, art installations, and demonstrations that exemplify sustainability.
- Student-led activities oriented toward collective action on sustainability.
