Assessment Project Coordinator

In Vaisala’s Weather and Environment business area, our forward-thinking team focuses on providing solutions to react on challenging weather or air quality conditions. We partner with our customers to help them make the most informed decisions whenever environmental insight matters.
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating workflow, communications and information within our very dynamic assessment production system.
This position is responsible for guiding projects from the point of sale through to the point of delivery as efficiently as possible.

Your key responsibilities include This position coordinates the project workflow of utility scale wind and solar energy projects. Coordination begins with ingesting project information in the form of data rooms and contracts. From here, projects are initialized, assigned a project sponsor, and handed off to the production team.
Throughout the course of production process, much communication between our clients, the production team and sales will flow through the team and especially this position. This position has a key role in capturing details into relevant places, adjusting workflow and ensuring that project works continue to flow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Coordinating project workflow processes • Forecasting lead times and project completion times • Communicating with project sponsor, sales & clients about project status • Setting up new projects, ingesting client data • Coordinating new information (communications, data files), in project management system • Monitoring project progression, with eye to remove blocks or stalls • Escalate stalled projects to team that can solve • Commercial data entry in Vaisala accounting system

Who we are looking for Skills & Knowledge: • Excellent communication skills – internally & externally • Strong collaboration skills – must work with team in fast/complex environment • Strong attention to detail – can determine what is key information and where to put it • Strong documentation skills – every note has a home • Ability to interpret contracts • Time management skills • Action orientated – must work to project cadence • Project management skills • Experience with LEAN concepts and application preferred • Modern office skills
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience
  • Master of Business Administration or equivalent experience desired
Required Work Experience: • 5 years of experience in a fast pace professional environment • 2 years of experience in coordinating or delivering professional services. • 2 years of experience project coordination or project management
