Please join us in person or via livestream on February 26 to hear Julia Olson speak at Dickinson College about the landmark lawsuit in which 21 youth plaintiffs are suing the U.S. government for their right to a safe climate. The plaintiffs, who include a Dickinson student, maintain that the U.S. government is violating their constitutional rights to life, liberty, and property through actions that cause climate change and through its failure to protect essential public trust resources.
Julia Olson, Executive Director of Our Children’s Trust (OCT) and lead attorney for the plaintiffs, and other representatives of OCT, will be in residence at Dickinson College for the lecture, advocacy workshop and other activities. They are recipients of the 2018 Rose-Walters Prize at Dickinson College for Global Environmental Activism.
