Safe Climate PA is convening students, faculty and citizens from across the state of Pennsylvania to work for action on climate change, develop advocacy skills, learn about carbon pricing and other policies for responding to climate change, and network with others to organize action on college campuses and in cities, boroughs and townships. The program includes skill building workshops for engaging with different levers of influence to build political will for solutions. In the afternoon, participants will convene with others from their school and/or locality to develop action plans to put their advocacy skills into practice. The event organizers will provide follow-up support and resources to help guide you through the process of meeting with elected officials, drafting press releases, seeking endorsements and taking other actions your group chooses.
