July 20 - Leadership in the Age of Smart Cities: How Data and Technology are Impacting Equity in Urban Communities - Free Conference - Washington D.C.

The Heinz College public service weekend, “Leadership in the Age of Smart Cities: How Data and Technology are Impacting Equity in Urban Communities”  is a FREE conference and is scheduled for July 20-July 22nd in Washington D.C. and includes a large graduate school expo on July 20th from 3-6PM.  The deadline to apply to the conference is Friday June 22nd.   Below is more information about the conference:

What to Expect:

·         Network with other students from across the country who are interning in Washington DC for the summer

·         Develop leadership and problem solving skills

·         Learn about careers in public service and graduate programs in public policy and international affairs

·         Interact with innovative leaders and leading thinkers

·         Participate in a team challenge to develop an innovative solution to problems facing urban centers

Eligibility Criteria:

·         Rising undergraduate juniors and seniors and recent graduates in the Washington D.C. Metro Area

·         Traditionally underrepresented students are encouraged to apply

·         All majors welcome

 The conference is hosted in collaboration with the Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) fellowship program and NASPAA to encourage more diversity and inclusion in public service.
